After the great success of our wine-tasting event, we were very pleased to see so many people come to our follow-up brunch with Panos4Life at the Kokob restaurant

Having got back to our EasySundays brunches - but at the same time offering you something a little different - the brunch at the Kokob restaurant downtown on November 8th was a great mix of EasySundays treats, tasty Ethiopian dishes and a great ambiance for all!

EasySundays has put all proceeds from the wine tasting and brunch towards covering the salary of one of the school’s three teachers for a year. Many thanks again to all those who attended and were able to make this goal possible!

Panos4Life, the non-profit organisation which supports the kindergarten already in many ways, attended the brunch and gave a great overview of all the work that has been done so far at the school in Kenya. A BIG THANK YOU goes to Dioni Vardaka for her very interesting presentation and kind words.

About the school: in recognition of the importance of education as a mean of facing life difficulties, it was decided to fully finance the construction of a nursery school for 150 children in Mamboromokoni, Malindi, in Kenya, in association with the ‘Greek Committee for Education of Kenyan Youth’ active locally. Full construction of the three-class nursery was finalised in January 2009 and the school was inaugurated in April 2009.
