We are pleased to announce that we were able to raise over 250 Euros which went to a special Handicap International initiative in Vietnam which supports women with babies born with disabilities.

Handicap International (http://en.handicapinternational.be) is an international solidarity organisation specialised in the field of disability. Non-governmental, non-religious, non-political and non-profit making, it works alongside people with disabilities, whatever the context, offering them assistance and supporting them in their efforts to become self-reliant.
.
The Belgian network, based here in Brussels, focuses on a number of projects in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East. To support these efforts, they also run a number of activities within the Belgian community.

Thanks for supporting Peru’s first democratic school!

May 15th, 2009

We would like to thank everyone who came out to our May 10th brunch at La Maison de la Solidarité, in Ixelles. We were really lucky with the great weather and so happy that we had over 65 people attend. A record so far!

All proceeds from the brunch went to supporting the building of Peru’s very first democratic school. (What is a democratic school?)

A special thanks goes out to Stephane Chaudron and Marco for presenting the organisation in Peru. For those of you who would like to learn more about this democratic school and find out how you can help, have a look at the below PPT presentation, which includes all contact details.

Looking forward to seeing you at our next event!

Launch event for LPC

April 10th, 2009

A big THANK YOU to everyone who joined us at the launch of the first EasySundays fundraiser brunch on April 5th, 2009. We are pleased to announce that, in addition to having a great time with so many people, together we raised over 300 EUR for the non-profit organisation Livre Papier Crayon (LPC).

For those of you who are interested in learning more about LPC, have a look at the detailed presentation which Catherine Dib kindly gave us. You can also contact her directly.

We would also like to give a special thank you to the Ninjinski bookshop for giving us such a great venue to host the brunch. It was a such a pleasure to work with you and we hope that you’ll have us back again!
