Message from Mothers at Risk www.mothersatrisk.org

The funds raised with the CheasySundays 2011 Edition will make possible the following actions:

  • Sponsor the vocational training of a single mother in Tangiers to secure a stable income.
  • Sponsor the participation of one mother from the Cairo slums in a nine-month-long literacy and health education program
  • Sponsor the participation of two girls from the Cairo slums in a nine-month-long literacy, life skills and health education program

We will send you in due course a profile on the specific girls and mothers you are sponsoring.

We rely exclusively on a growing and vibrant network of individuals who donate their time, knowledge and resources to support Mothers at Risk around the world. We welcome members of the EasySundays network interested in joining us to help make a difference; please write a message to info@mothersatrisk.org.

Mothers at Risk would like to thank all the EasySundays attendees for their generosity.

Thanks to all who came out for “Ceci n’est pas un brunch!”

After a restful summer holiday, EasySundays was back in Brussels in full force on September 12th for a flavoured brunch in the beautiful premises of the Brussels Information Place (BIP).

All proceeds from the brunchwill go to the Maison de Jeunes le 88, le88.be , a youth organisation situated in the Marolles. MJLE88 offers young people daily activities, support with homework and creative and sports workshops. The funds collected on the 12th will support a planned study trip to Puglia, Italy, where a small group of youngsters from the Marolles will meet peers from a local youth association.

Special thanks: Organic bread and condiments were kindly offered by the Bio Shop Brussel ‘Den Teepot’ and coffee, tea and hot chocolate offered by ‘Tout l’or du Monde’. Thank you so much!

Thanks to all who came out and made this brunch our biggest success yet! Stay tuned for a follow-up on the MJLE88 trip to Puglia as well as details on our next brunch.
